Does oracle xe come with a database control ? or do you just control it with the html-db gui ? can xe be managed using grid control ?

For a DBA to get started, to "learn", XE has everything you need. Backup, the ever important recovery, user management, disk management, table creation, data base management in general.

You would manage XE just as any other Oracle Database; see the "2-Day DBA Guide."(link: http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14196/toc.htm)
