Hi All,

I just started working on a new development project, at a place where they have RAC.

I wanted to use EM, which is usually on port 5500, but it is not there.

I asked the DBA and he said I should use port 7777 on RAC. However this is the grid control, and I can not have access to this because I am only working on one project / database and cant have access to other apps / DBs in this grid.

Am I resigned to used the java console version?? Or is there a workaround? I have read in the documentation that you can only install grid control OR database control when oracle is installed.

Any help / advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Ensure the DB Console is started (emctl start dbconsole).

Check your $ORACLE_HOME/install/portlist.ini file to see on what port it is running.

Best regards.
