Hi I am a oracle DBA and I am working in 24*7 environment where I have to do night shifts and come on 2nd shifts.

I fear I might not be able to do this for long.I want to know whether I will get good oppurtunities even if I am nor ready to come in night shifts if I am experienced 5 or 6 yrs as DBA.

Please shed me sme light.

Thanks

Your job experience and your actual working conditions are not linked... i.e. being a more experienced DBA doesn't mean you automatically get to opt out of night shifts. Usually more experience means more responsiblity.

As for odd hours and /or unfair shifts, you'll need to talk to your manager. Or find a job at a company where night-time work is less likely to occur.
